Thankyou Meredith-an enlightening saturday morning Reflection with the reminder of the Truth that is constantly with us in every waking moment! - our thinking creates our internal & external world & so, how our lives will be, as you have reminded us:_)xxMuch appreciation-we must all make the efforts required to change our personal thinking thru loving kindness, otherwise nothing changes.
Thanks again Amilia for your warm hearted response. I really feel your beautiful energy and spirit. Have a wonderful weekend. PS if you know anyone who might benefit from these posts please feel free to share the link I texted you a couple of days ago 🤍
And you have a lovely weekend too - i can only feel with peace and love when reading your posts, so thankyou always so much Meredith, yes will share & yes with the txt!:_)
That’s great to know that my writing brings you peace Amilia. Substack is full of writers. I’m still find an audience here. It isn’t easy. But I know I just have to keep on writing. It’s something I’ve enjoyed doing for more than 10 years… and the poetry… Wow! Love it. You can get away with saying almost anything in poetry, not so much with the philosophical essays.
Yes keep on wiriting Meredith, in both ways, um yes speaking & writing has changed in these days, it's how pple read it & it comes back to the thinking! in how we personally interpret it! - look forward to More:_)
Thank you Meredith for this thoughtful post. In the Bhagavad Gita there are a couple of verses where there's a clear chain: what you dwell on mentally (your thoughts) shapes your emotions, your desires, your identity—and ultimately your fate. In the Dhammapada Buddha says
"All that we are is the result of what we have thought:
It is founded on our thoughts, it is made up of our thoughts.
If one speaks or acts with a pure mind, happiness follows
You are what you think. Great post Meredith!
