Love💕, the name you found for the publication. Or maybe the name found you.
I resonate with your connection to writing. It is an art. Deep intention goes into crafting each sentence . At this time, I spend most of my writing time in writing my memoir. This leaves me with less time to write long pieces on Substack .
I continue showing up by writing, shorter pieces on Substack and remaining active in the daily Notes I post .
Thank you , Meredith, for reminding us that Writing is like offering a fruit to God .🙏✨♥️
Tamy, it’s a name for both me and the publication. having recently turned 61 and spent 33 years learning Vedanta. I feel “entitled” to call myself an elder sage. I think your memoir will be at best seller. Look forward to reading it 🤍
Not that I birthed five kids but I understand the analogy. I’m currently writing as well, not a memoir but a non-fictional book and boy oh boy it’s challenging. But with persistence day by day, we’ll both get there 🙏🤍
Yes at 61 with such dedication to your practice it seems the Elder Sage makes sense. And is a beautiful way to move into these later years in life. I read a years ago that the 60s were your most productive decade in life and the 70s your second. I retired from my formal profession at 63. And I had definitely become the wise one at my job. I felt fully respected and mentored many younger teachers of children with autism.
Congratulations to you and your beautiful name and for sharing with us your wisdoms.
This really resonated with me. It’s incredible how moments of stillness—or even forced stillness like recovery—can strip everything down to what truly matters. I love how writing became not just a practice, but your offering.
This is why I could not find you the other day. I was looking for something to read and I could NOT find your stack. Which I was searching for specifically. I’d considered that you blocked me. Glad I found it. This piece was worth it.
This is beautiful. It resonates deeply. We seem to travel parallel paths across the Pacific. I so love how you are devoted to the Real, in giving form to - "offering something sacred," with each word, each brushstroke that is a sentence, each expression of the heart and as the heart.
i love your "introducing the elder sage" & the fact that you have come to the place of writing - from the life long knowledge and wisdom that you have attained by learning, teaching, giving - we are so blessed to be the ones to receive! The name couldn't be more Perfect, and this is why it came to you as a Flash!
Yes Amilia, I love The Elder Sage. It feels timeless, grounded, and boundless —like a place readers can return to for wisdom, comfort, and strength. I waited patiently, and the right name found me. It’s a perfect fit.
I have also found that writing and aging are like brushstrokes in the masterpiece of life. I would not trade my 65-year old writer self for any of my younger versions. At the same time, I'd have much less to write about, and much less to offer at this stage and age, if I hadn't gone through everything that I was before this point.
Wishing you continued graceful aging and sage writing,
Your words are like a well-aged wine—rich and full of depth. Thank you for your generous greeting. May your pen stay wise, your heart stay light, and your years ahead continue to unfold with clarity.
So lovely to hear from you. It’s amazing how much can change in just a few months. How are things going for you? I hope life is opening up in all the right ways, bringing you happiness, creativity, and success. Please know I’m here if I can ever support you in any way at all. Wishing you so much love and all good things on your journey.

Seems you’ve definitely earned this sacred name🙏✨ 🥰
And thank you for your kind comment, I’m in the process of birthing my memoir, it’s coming with more labor pains than birthing my 5 kids 😊

Thank you Allen for your kind words. It is in the silent space between thoughts that clarity is born.

Yes, the elder sage, that you are.
This means a great deal. Thank you Sophia.
