I will never forget the day I felt/ became aware of/ experienced my mind and intellect as separate things. To hear my mind try and drag me into an emotional state, and then immediately hear my intellect say, no, don't go there. There is no benefit in behaving in that way. This is thanks to Meredith and her teachings.

This was a helpful read as I also demonised the intellect for a long time. I’m starting to sense that it was a misconception.

I believe I can feel the essence of what you are saying like a half formed though. But I still haven’t completely wrapped my head around it yet.

As I understand it, the mind will ramble and drift without the intellects discerning directive.

But how do you differentiate the intellect from the mind? Or to put the same question another way, what does it feel like when the intellect is in ‘control’… is it a feeling? Clear thought? Raw Intuition? Effortless flow? Something else?

I will continue to contemplate.
